The key features of our latest standard plant designs are:

a) flexibility - the ability to operate optimally over a very wide range. 
b) expandability - designed for simplified extension of capacity as you grow

We have three standard sizes of single-reactor plants (figures show rated capacity in MTPD 37%; figures in parenthesis show the minimum):

Additional capacity is available from our twin-stream and dual-reactor plants.


Other features of the design are:

• Revised catalyst loading plans - CAP 2.0 
• Maximum allowable methanol inlet - now 10.4 vol.%

The larger sizes (FS3 and FS2.5) can also be set up with parallel reactors (FT). For the single-line sizes (FS), the capacity can be increased further by adding a dual-reactor system.
As there are several possible configurations for a given capacity, we recommended that you contact your Formox representative for advice on the best option. But with the flexibility built into these latest designs, you can be sure of finding a set-up to suit your particular circumstances. Moreover, the built-in expansion possibilities make the decision easier. In addition, you can choose how to operate - maximum economy or maximum production - and change your operating mode at every catalyst change by selecting a new CAP appropriate to the new strategy.
